totoro bento

Salmon Bento with Cali. roll, tempura, shiu-mai, cold noodle salad, and a potato batter

Nabeyaki Udon

Nabeyaki Udon with Yellowtail roll and Eel Roll

Been there about 40-50 times. Tried almost everything on the menu.

I think the nabeudon is best, and sometimes I like the tenzaru cold soba.

You can try their rolls, rolls, rolls special if you don't like uncooked food but want to try sushi.

For lunch, you can try the chirashi special. The bento is ok but I don't think it is specia and at $9 before tips will make it a relatively expensive place to eat at at this level of quality.

Their servings are small in general and I get mad at them for not giving me rice in a bento, they only give you a tiny scoop of rice which I feel that they are being stingy.

There is nothing too special I would recommend about it, but nothing too bad I would talk much about it either. So- average in a way.

One thing, try and find a coupon that gives discount for eating there. It used to be in the Clippers magazine, but recently I can't find it. If anyone knows where to find it, please let me know.

Good:
The hot items are beter, and the fish is ok
Bad: A bit too expensive and the place is quite cramped.

Conclusion: Try it from time to time if you live in Ann Arbor

Verdict: B- to B
