The first time I have heard of the name, I thought I can really order a real starfish! But it turns out it is a Japanese Western Fusion Restaurant with a heavier emphasis on the Japanese side.
The restaurant's decoration is quite nice although the restaraunt size is a bit too small.
I ordered a chirashi for lunch and it was really surprised by the dish that I am receiving, good and bad. The good thing is the presentation of the dish, yes dish, looks pretty good. They put a variety (I think 4 kinds) of fishes (yellowtail,tuna,salmon and probably white tuna) on a small bed of sushi rice, with a handmade ginger flower and some wasabi, together with an apple fan. The really bad side is its portion. I think the portion is really small and it can not fill me up at all
My other friends ordered the sushi bento, some ordered a teriyaki fish and some a teriyaki bento. I would say the chef has done a great job on the food presentation but then the portion of all the meals are way too small for me.
In terms of price, it is way too pricey for such a portion and quality. My chirashi cost $18 and the others cost at least $15.
Good: Good presentation of food, food is quite fresh in taste, nice service
Bad: Very small portion, overpriced.
It might be ok for people who eat little like a bird, but not for normal people who want to fill themselves up with a normal lunch.(B-)
